Hiya Michelle,
It is wonderful to see you back at planDisney. It looks like you may be planning the most magical way to end a calendar year - by visiting
Walt Disney World Resort. If I had to pick a time of the year that is my absolute favorite at Disney World, it would definitely be from October through December. There are so many wonderful special events to enjoy and extra pixie dust in the air!
Two of those special events that should be at the top of everyone's must-do list are
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. These special ticket events occur on select evenings at
Magic Kingdom, with the Halloween party typically occurring from mid August to Halloween and Mickey's elves happily dancing the Christmas party into town from early November until just before Christmas day. Both events are full of special character interactions and entertainment options including stage shows, fireworks and a parade that is only seen on party nights. They are easily two of our absolute favorite events to enjoy.
While both parties are taking place this year, there has not yet been an announcement for next year. I do have a few suggestions though. Typically the fall and winter special events are announced in late spring. This includes an announcement on what events are coming, when they will run and when tickets will be released. I would keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as they will be sure to provide all the details as soon as an announcement is made. Another option would be to check back to the
Disney World monthly calendar. This is regularly updated as events are added.
I know you were probably hoping for a more definite answer so I will pass along this thought - both of these parties are extremely popular. Therefore, if I was a gambling gal, I would have to guess they will be returning. That is just my thoughts, so there is no guarantee, however the good news is even if the parties do not return, I am confident there will be plenty of seasonal magic for you to enjoy. Happy planning and if I can provide any further assistance, please stop back and
see me.
T-T-F-N (Ta-Ta for now),
Margaret
