Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party - it is pretty expensive for our family DD5 DH DS2. Would we be missing out if we didn't attend? Do they not have the Christmas parades and such during the day? It just seems like a lot of money.

    Hi Heather,

I can certainly understand your hesitation. The cost of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party can be costly for a family. We personally love the party and never miss a chance to attend.

This special event features a fantastic Christmas parade, complete with a visit from Santa, different than the afternoon parade and can only be enjoyed during the party. Likewise, the fireworks show is a different show than Wishes and is quite beautiful. Most attractions and shows are operating during the event and we love the short lines and the ability to enjoy a number of rides over and over with minimal waits. There are a few special shows offered on these evenings only as well as great meet and greet opportunities with the Disney pals. The characters are all ready for the holiday season and have come all decked out in the holiday finest, which I find adorable and perfect for our holiday Christmas picture. Typically your admission includes a family keepsake photo as well as hot chocolate and cookies, and even a little snow.

It is a great evening and a fantastic way to enjoy some holiday beauty at Magic Kingdom with limited crowds. If you are not able to enjoy the party due to cost, be sure to spend an evening at Epcot or Hollywood Studios, which offer a small taste of some holiday cheer without the special ticket event.
