We are going to Mickey's dinner at the contemporary resort from the AoA. I could only get an 8PM reservation. what kind of transportation will be available there and back? We have our car. Would it be better to drive and park if this is possible? Parking

    Hi Linda!

Thank your for bringing your questions to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! You are going to love having dinner at Chef Mickey's. Character meals are the best way to get to meet lots of great Disney characters... not to mention the fabulous food.

You have several options for transportation between Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort:
    • Via Disney bus transportation take a bus to the Magic Kingdom then either take the Monorail to the Disney's Contemporary Resort or walk. The walk from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary is approximately five minutes.
    • Also via Disney bus transporation, take the first bus which comes along going to any theme park. Once at that theme park hop on the bus going to the Contemporary.
    • By far the quickest way to get to the Contemporary from Art of Animation is to use your car. Since you are a resort guest, you will not be required to pay any parking fees.

If you would like to travel via Disney bus transporation you should allow for at least one hour transportation time. If you decide to use your car, you could cut that time down to a half hour.

If you have anymore questions as you plan your magical Disney vacation please come back and see us.

    Have a pixie-dusted day!
