Does Mickey appear at Garden Grill or Tusker House? Want to make sure we do at least one "mickey meal." We have done Chef Mickey's before so looking to try something new. Is it worth doing both, or it is the same characters? Thanks!

    Jessica,

Yes, Mickey Mouse does visit your table at Tusker House. It is our very favorite character meal, so if you can go there, do! The characters visit in safari costumes. But more importantly, we really love the food, as it has both american classics, but also some African and Indian inspired dishes. That makes it more fun for the adults in the group! Do note, however, that characters do not visit at dinner, just breakfast and lunch.

As for the Garden Grill, yes, Mickey is typically there too. While it serves a good meal, it is far more American traditional, and I thought a bit uninspired. You are looking at a very similar mix of characters, this time dressed like farmers.

BOTTOM LINE: While both are very good, there is no hesitation on my part to say that you should go to Tusker House. And no, from a character greeting experience, I don't think you need to do both. In fact, too many character meals can take a bit of the magic out of it for kids.

Write me back if you have any follow-up questions!

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
