We are from michigan..brr... and are planning our first wdw vacation from feb9-16th 2010, what will the weather be like and how should we pack..shorts, jeans, sweatshirts, t-shirts?? We have never been to flordia before.

    Hello Michigan,

The average daytime temperature at Walt Disney World in February is about 75 degrees and the average nighttime low is about 50 degrees. However, those are just averages. I have been at Walt Disney World in mid-February during six of the past eight years. I've experienced everything from temperatures in the mid 80s to temperatures in low 40s. To get a good handle on what you should bring, I would check with a service such as weather.com about 8 or 9 days before your trip. From this, you'll get a ballpark idea of what to expect during your visit.

In general, when going to WDW in the winter I usually plan to mostly wear ankle-length or capri-style pants. I also pack a pair or two of shorts and a pair of jeans, in case there are temperature extremes in either direction. On top, I plan to wear lots of layers. In the morning, I'll start out with a short-sleeve T, under a long-sleeve T, under a fleece or sweater. As the day warms up, just peel off the layers. And don't forget to bring comfortable shoes. There is great deal of walking involved in a Disney vacation.

I would also bring a swimsuit. All the pools at WDW are heated year round. You will often see guests in the water even on chilly days. Plus, you'll want to have the option to take a dip if the temperatures do climb to the higher end of the thermometer.
