Hi Luis, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
What an exciting way to ring in the New YEAR! I think it’s fantastic that the entire family is going to be at Disneyland Resort for
the holidays. You are going to love the transition from 2019 to
2020. The Resort will still be decked out in its Christmas finery while they bring out the bells and whistles for New YEAR’s Eve!
While the parties at the Resort are certainly family-friendly, the crowd and noise might be a bit stimulating for your
little one. If you are planning on your son joining you and your wife for the countdown, I would suggest noise-canceling headphones (make sure to test them out before the big day to make sure babe will keep them on!) or making sure he is sound asleep when the major festivities start. Two out of three of my babes sleep through anything, but one wakens at the slightest noise, so you will be the best person to determine if a nap will be feasible. If the crowds and sound are a bit much for him, you can find respite in the
Baby Care Centers. They are in both
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park. Besides a place to feed him and change his diaper, the Baby Care Centers are a quiet place to rest and relax.
One other option! If you are staying at one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels, check with the Front Desk regarding
babysitting services. They can recommend third-party vendors that contract with Disney, and all arrangements will be made between you and them, separate from the Resort. But, I think this is
an excellent alternative if you are concerned about the noise and crowd level for it-bit on New YEAR’s Eve.
Luis, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. chEARs to a new decade!
