Hi, Becky!
Your magical holiday stay at the Walt Disney World Resort is about to begin! Can you believe you'll be in the midst of all the holiday happenings in just a couple of days? I know you can't wait.
Becky, I visited
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa just a few weeks ago, and all I can say is WOW! The holiday decor is breathtaking and wait until you see the life-size Gingerbread House in the lobby. If you have a chance, be sure to stop by the sweet shop that's inside to pick up some holiday goodies. I tried several during my visit, and I have to say the cake pop was so delicious. It is big enough to share and worth the indulgence! When you want to venture to
Disney's Hollywood Studios, head to the
bus stop that is just outside the main lobby (to your right when you come out the main door). There will be monitors to show when you can expect the next bus to arrive and several benches to rest while you wait. The ride over doesn't take long at all once the bus arrives, and this service is complimentary!
There is one other option, Becky, the
Minnie Van Service. There is an extra fee for this magical ride, but it's a fun way to travel around the Walt Disney World Resort. You can access this service via the Lyft app from anywhere on Disney property. When you open up the app to input your current location and destination, you'll be able to see the rate to travel from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to Disney's Hollywood Studios. From my experience, the Minnie Van Service is great to use to maximize time, which you may be trying to do if you are planning to visit
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge this coming week. Current hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. but are always subject to change.
I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. I always love helping a fellow Georgian with magical plans, so it was a pleasure assisting you!
Have a MAGICAL vacation,
Nancy
