Where do I merge Disney gift cards?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Brian.

You’re as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Can you believe you’ll be sailing the high seas with pirates, going on an African safari, and traveling to galaxies far, far away in less than two weeks? I bet you are beyond excited!

I’m so glad you stopped by with this question. My husband and I pay for all of our trip expenses solely with Disney Gift Cards, so I am a huge proponent of using them. In fact, we leave for our own Walt Disney World Resort vacation soon and spent a good portion of yesterday afternoon combining our gift cards. All you have to do is think happy thoughts and follow these simple steps:

    • Visit the Disney Gift Card website and set up an account if you haven't already. Your login information should be the same as your My Disney Experience/Disney account login.
    • Select “My Cards” from the menu of options.
    • Click on “Add a Card.”
    • Enter the requested information. If you plan on storing the gift card you are adding as one of your main cards, I would give it a memorable nickname and label the back of the physical gift card with the same nickname so you know not to throw it away. If it’s one you are just transferring the balance from, I suggest choosing a random single letter as the nickname to speed up the process since you won’t be keeping it.
    • Click “Add to My Cards.”
    • Find the gift card you want to transfer the balance to and select "Transfer Funds to This Card."
    • Select the gift card you want to transfer funds from, scroll down, and click on “Confirm Transfer.”
    • Click on “Yes & Delete Empty Cards.” This will transfer the balance over to one of your stored cards.
Brian, you can store the details of up to six Disney Gift Cards in your account on this site. I would limit it to only five though, because you won’t be able to add the details of any other gift cards once you are up to six. If you lose one of your stored gift cards, all you have to do is log into your account and transfer the balance.

I hope this information helps, and I hope you have a magical trip. Say hi to Mickey for me!

    See ya real soon,

    Alyssa
