Can I use a merchandise credit to add photo pass to my annual pass

Smile for the camera, Jacquelyn, and welcome to planDisney. I'm glad you're a part of the passholder family. I love my Annual Pass and its benefits, so let's look at how to add Memory Maker for your next Walt Disney World Resort visit.

I renewed my Pixie Dust Pass last month and added Memory Maker Disney PhotoPass Service. I was a huge fan of my annual pass before, but with unlimited digital photo downloads, I'm sold for life! The Disney PhotoPass photographers know how to work their magic because the quality is picture-perfect.

I spoke to a helpful Cast Member who told me that as long as you're not on the Florida resident payment plan, you should be able to use a Disney Gift Card as payment when adding Memory Maker to your pass. She said the easiest way would be to bring that gift card and stop by any Guest Relations location at the theme parks or Disney Springs.

If the card was issued for returned merchandise at a Disney retail store, you might not be able to apply it to the cost of Memory Maker. So, it depends on the specific type of card you have. I suggest you try it and have a second payment method handy, just in case.

You can also call the Annual Passholder line for assistance. Once they enter the card numbers, they can let you know if the available funds can be applied to the purchase of Memory Maker.

Remember that Memory Maker cannot be prorated, so you might want to wait to purchase it depending on where you are in your renewal window. If your current annual pass expires in a few weeks, I suggest you wait and add Memory Maker when you renew to utilize it for the entire year.

My final tip might help you find those PhotoPass photographers once you're at the theme parks. In the My Disney Experience Mobile App, tap the pin icon at the bottom of your screen and choose PhotoPass from the dropdown menu above the map. You can filter by location, and I prefer to tap Show List for current photo options. One of my favorites is the Rapunzel Latern photo at Magic Kingdom Park. At last, you'll see the light!

Jacquelyn, I'm sprinkling pixie dust all around so you can enjoy some fantastic photos from your upcoming Disney visits. It's the perfect way to preserve your most treasured memories. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
