Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristen!
I am so happy to tell you that YES!--your
Memory Maker purchase does include photos taken during any of the
runDisney races (including the
Disney Princess Half Marathon). And if you purchase your Memory Maker at least three days prior to arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort, you can currently save money on that purchase!
My family and I love Memory Maker. As
Annual Passholders, we’re in the
Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks frequently. During each of our visits, though, we always make sure to take time to say cheese for the
Disney PhotoPass photographers stationed throughout the Parks. And on
runDisney race weekends, we REALLY love to ham it up. While you’re on the course, look out for the PhotoPass photographers stationed in or near bright green pop-up tents. Make sure your bib number is clearly visible, as that’s what you’ll use to link your race photos to your Memory Maker (as opposed to using a PhotoPass card or
MagicBand as you ordinarily would). Your digital event guide for the race will have instructions about linking your bib number to your Memory Maker account, so be on the lookout for that, too.
Here’s a
tip for making the most out of your runDisney race weekend photos: try to distance yourself from the crowd of runners whenever you see one of those bright green tents coming up. My daughter ran her first race earlier this year (the
Disney Princess 5K), and she had posing for the course photographers down to a science! The photo they took of her crossing the finish line is one of my most cherished Walt Disney World Resort memories, too.
Good luck with your race, Kristen, and don’t forget to smile!
Amy
