Memory Maker has a discount for military but you cannot purchase in advance, only upon arrival. Does that mean there is no waiting period for it to activate? Where exactly do I purchase MM?

Hello, Jennifer, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You are correct: along with specially priced Theme Park tickets, there is a discounted Memory Maker available at Walt Disney World Resort for Eligible Service Members of the U.S. Military. The specially-priced Memory Maker can only be purchased at a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park ticket window by the Eligible Service Member or their spouse (with proper ID). There is not a waiting period for your Memory Maker to activate, and all photos taken within 30 days of the first activation will be linked to your Disney PhotoPass account. Please keep in mind that the standard Memory Maker expiration policy is still in effect (currently 45 days from the date the photo is taken) and that some attraction photos and digital content will only be available if you also have a MagicBand.

My family and I absolutely love the photos we get with our Memory Maker for each of our visits to Walt Disney World Resort. The added ease of viewing, downloading and sharing photos from the My Disney Experience Mobile App makes it even better! Make sure you ask your PhotoPass photographers if they have any Magic Shots available, and take advantage of special photo opportunities throughout Walt Disney World Resort like the awesome new options at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (available through September 30, 2019).

    Don’t forget to say "cheese!"
