What is memory maker? I have already purchased disney photo pass plus. I saw a comment about switching to memory maker. What exactly is the difference between the two?

Hi, Carrie!  This is the brand new way to capture the photos taken during your Walt Disney World vacation.  The new Disney Memory Maker replaces the Photo Pass system, and offers guests immediate digital access to their photos.  The big difference is, of course, that the whole system is digital.  You will no longer receive the CD in the mail.  You can download whatever photos you choose as soon as you'd like, even while you're still on vacation!

The system will be linked to your Magic Bands, so no more fumbling for the PhotoPass card.  I think I came home from some vacations with more PhotoPass cards than a person should have, but I kept forgetting to bring them each day, or I would be in one place and my husband in another, and we'd each have a card.  This is really going to streamline that process.

Another great thing is that you can link your family and friends on your My Disney Experience account so that you can all see the photos!

If you have already purchased the PhotoPass package, you have the option to return it for the Memory Maker package instead.  I will tell you, though, if you are going to do it, make sure it's before your vacation.  Your Memory Maker package will activate 3 days after your purchase, so any photos taken in those first three days will not be included.

    I hope this helps!
