What are some memorable things to do at Disneyland with a toddler and 6 month old

Hi there, Nikolas! Welcome to planDisney. As a toddler mom, the parks have such a different feel when you’re seeing The Happiest Place on Earth through your little one’s eyes. Every trip we’ve taken with my toddler has been unique and special in its own way, with little Disney milestones and firsts. We’ve found our rhythm with must-do experiences, and my toddler is starting to remember his favorites. I’d love to walk you through the memorable things we do with our little one!

One of the most memorable things we did on my toddler’s first visit was get a framed silhouette at the Silhouette Studio on Main Street, U.S.A. In such a short amount of time, Cast Members are able to create a beautiful silhouette cutout of your little one. This is by far one of the most special keepsakes we’ve made with our toddler. We have it displayed in our living room, and it always takes me back to that first visit whenever I see it. You can include up to two people in a single cutting, which would be so sweet for your two children, either in one frame or in individual frames.

I’ve learned that going to Disneyland with a toddler really humbles you if you’re used to a previous go-go-go lifestyle. With that being said, another memorable thing I love to do with my toddler is a character dining experience. He’s at the age where he can recognize characters and interact with them. Especially while we’re still in the learning stage of waiting in lines, character dining is a perfect, relaxed way of meeting characters without the wait you may find in the parks. This has become a tradition for my family, and we always try to book a character dining reservation whenever we head to the parks.

Lastly, it’s never a complete Disneyland trip without a visit to Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard. There’s such a sense of silliness and classic Goofy vibes when you step into this area of Toontown. We love to explore and play in this interactive space on every trip to the parks. With each visit, my toddler gains a little more courage in going down the rainbow slides on his own! It’s heartwarming to see the fun and excitement in his eyes, knowing these memories will last forever for us.

Nikolas, thank you so much for visiting planDisney. I know your visit is going to be a memorable one for the books! Remember to take it easy, utilize the Baby Care Centers for all your little ones’ needs, and just know that you’ve got this! If you need any more planning assistance or have more questions, planDisney is here to help.
