Hi there Lorne! How exciting that your trip to the Disneyland Resort is coming up so soon!
You are correct that the
World of Color Dining Packages at
Wine Country Trattoria at Disney California Adventure Park, or
Storytellers Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are available on a first-come, first served basis, and are subject to availability. You can make a
dining reservation at either location for lunch or dinner, but there will not be a specific dining reservation for the World of Color Dining Package, you can let the host or your server know upon arrival. It is so nice to know that you'll have access to a reserved viewing area! For your planning purposes, the viewing area is standing only.
If you're a
Disneyland Resort Magic Key Holder, you are able to make a specific World of Color dining reservation for the Magic Key Terrace. You can dine here for lunch or dinner and enjoy a delicious 3-course prix fixe meal! This could be a great option to secure a World of Color dining package, but you do need to be a Magic Key Holder and will be required to show your Magic Key Pass in the Disneyland app upon arrival.
I highly recommend making your dining reservation for lunch, or trying to secure an earlier dinner reservation time whether that's at 5:00 PM if there are two World of Color shows that evening, or at 6:00 PM if there is only one show at Storytellers Cafe, and dinner reservations begin at 4:00 PM at Wine Country Trattoria. These times are subject to change, so I recommend confirming the times prior to your visit.
I'm sending you all of the pixie dust that you're able to enjoy a World of Color Dining Package, Lorne! Please do not hesitate to
come back and me any other questions you may have.
Have a magical trip!
Melissa
