I am meeting family members in Disney World in Dec. We will have 2 rooms. What is the best way to request they be adjoining, or at least close to eachother. And how likely is that to be granted. Thanks.

Disney does try to accommodate guest room requests whenever possible. Panelist Bret does a fabulous job HERE of explaining exactly how to get the room configuration you want. If you make your request known early (meaning now) and then follow up as Bret suggests, I think the chances of you having your request honored are excellent. I personally have requested adjoining rooms several times over the years and have always gotten my request.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful time together at WDW.
