Is there any other way to meet the princesses without dining? Thanks.

Welcome back to planDisney, Sashann! Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is waiting just inside the castle walls, so let's talk about meeting royalty on your upcoming trip.

While character dining is one of the easiest ways to interact with many Disney princesses, I have additional suggestions. Many of your favorites will hold meet-and-greets for their loyal subjects throughout all four theme parks, so grab your autograph book and get ready to make some regal friends.

Members of the royal family have many duties in the realm, so their availability can vary. The best way to check the latest meetings is in your mobile app. Tap the location pin icon at the bottom of the screen and select "Characters" from the dropdown menu above the map. You can filter by location, and I prefer toggling to "View List" to scroll through the current characters who are meeting guests. You can also find information about current character meetings online.

For example, a glance in my app at Magic Kingdom Park shows Ariel, Cinderella, Mulan, Jasmine, and Snow White will be giving hugs and chatting with guests today. You can select anyone from the list to see their appearance schedule and location. Tap "Wait Times & Show Times" under the My Visit section of your app's welcome screen to see current wait times for character meetings.

One of my favorite character interactions is with Snow White. She loves to talk about Gooseberry Pie, and I'm always up for chatting about food! My top tip when meeting characters is to have a conversation starter. For my meeting with Snow, I wore my favorite tee with her likeness. This gave us common ground and led to a fun chat! Princesses also love to hear about your top memories of them, and feel free to ask questions about their lives. You might be surprised by how much you have in common!

Sashann, I'm wishing on a star that you're granted an audience with their majesties on your upcoming visit. Have a magical time, and stop by planDisney with any other planning questions. We'll have your pumpkin coach waiting!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
