Can you meet Merida at Epcot?

Greetings, Vanessa, and welcome to planDisney. We chase the wind and touch the sky so guests can have magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations! You'll be arriving soon, so let's see if we can chase down everyone's favorite Scottish lass during your visit.

I've always been a fan of Merida's strength and independence, so I understand why you'd like to have an audience with this princess. While she used to greet her subjects in Fairytale Garden in Magic Kingdom Park, she no longer has a scheduled meeting time or place. I've heard tale she pops in occasionally at the gazebo in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom, and I saw her red curls bouncing in the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade a few weeks ago. I even had a friend say that Merida made a surprise appearance during a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table in January. I bet that spunky gal had her elbows on the table!

You never know where this headstrong young lady might appear, so my best advice is to check the My Disney Experience app. Tap on the map icon at the bottom of the screen and select "Characters" from the dropdown menu. I like to choose "Show List" to see which characters are meeting guests, but I don't see Merida listed at EPCOT or any theme park at this time.

Another tip is to stop by Guest Relations for any clue they might offer about Merida's whereabouts. She might be too busy practicing with her bow to be out and about, but I'm wishing on a star that you at least glimpse her as she rides and flies by!

Vanessa, I hope you take hold of your own dreams and have a fabulous time on your trip. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
