Jambo, Victoria! You've asked an excellent question! Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is kicking off a new ticketed event this July called
Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night. Being a big aficionado of The Lion King, I'm intrigued about this experience which celebrates the beloved story of the 1994 film just in time for its 25th anniversary. The Wildlife Express Train serves as transportation for the evening, and its final stop is Harambe Market for a celebration featuring dinner and music. Only Guests who have made advance dining reservations will get to mingle with Timon and Rafiki who will be appearing at the party to pose for pictures and sign autographs. Reservations are being accepted online or call 0800 16 90 748 (UK), but note that separate theme park admission is required.
If you're looking for something more casual, then have "NO worries," as I have a couple of other suggestions for you. Timon and Rafiki and a few other Animal Kingdom friends can be found jamming to some wild tunes each day in Discovery Island at the
Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party. This celebration is scheduled to run through September 30, which is a few days shy of your trip, but hopefully, it gets extended so you can get your inner groove on to your favorite Lion King tunes. Check the Disney Parks Blog for updates. Also, make sure to take time to see the
Festival of the Lion King show during your trip. You'll be dazzled by the acrobatics and stilt walkers, and the "Circle of Life" finale brings tears to my eyes every time.
I hope you have a "problem-free philosophy" as you continue with the planning process, Victoria!
