Where can I meet C-3po and R2D2 I would love to meet the best droid duo in the galaxy for a meet and greet. Where do C-3po and R2D2 meet guests? I’m going in a few days

Bright suns, Michael, and welcome back to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question. It’s always a joy to connect with a fellow Star Wars fan.

As a child of the 1970s, I’ll never forget my first drive-in movie experience: Star Wars: A New Hope. From that moment on, I was captivated by the galaxy far, far away and especially by the iconic duo of C-3PO and R2-D2. Their polar-opposite personalities and lovable bickering have made them legends in the stars and in our hearts.

If you’re hoping to meet this dynamic droid duo during your visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you'll have to channel your inner Jedi and manage expectations. While you can meet some incredible Star Wars characters, like Chewbacca, Rey, Kylo Ren, The Mandalorian with Grogu, and Vi Moradi, within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, C-3PO and R2-D2 don’t currently appear for regular meet-and-greets at Walt Disney World.

However, Star Wars Launch Bay in the Animation Courtyard is your best bet for droid encounters nearby. BB-8 and Darth Vader greet guests there daily, and although not guaranteed, there have been rare sightings of R2-D2 occasionally roaming Galaxy’s Edge and interacting with guests. Also, over at Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, C-3PO takes the controls of your Starspeeder 1000 for an unforgettable intergalactic adventure.

The land of Batuu is set during the sequel trilogy timeline, so while Luke Skywalker and his trusty droids aren’t part of the everyday storyline there (yet!), things may be shifting. Over on the West Coast, Disneyland Park has recently hosted limited-time meet-and-greets with Luke and R2-D2, and C-3PO has made special appearances during Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. Here’s hoping the twin suns will shine a little brighter soon in Florida, too! In the meantime, if you’re dreaming of droid interaction, consider building your own BB- or R-series unit at Droid Depot. It’s a truly immersive experience where you’ll create a loyal sidekick of your own!

Be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date character information during your trip, and don’t hesitate to ask a Cast Member for intel from the Resistance. Things can change faster than the Millennium Falcon in hyperdrive!

May the Force be with you on your journey, Michael. And remember, the droids you’re looking for may just be around the next corner.
