Hi Amy,
Traveling with dietary issues adds a few challenges to making advanced dining reservations. Luckily, Disney World does a great job of offering allergy-friendly menus and modifying meals to accommodate dietary needs. We travel to Disney World regularly with members of our party who are dairy-free and gluten-free. It does limit some of your options, but there are typically lots of great things to eat at each restaurant.
It looks like you are looking for some great Italian food that can make your whole party happy! Unfortunately, both
Tutto Italia Restaurante and Via Napoli are not owned and operated by Disney World, so their allergy-friendly menus are not as clear as some of the other options. Tutto Italia Restaurante does offer modification of their menu. The last time we visited, they were more than happy to leave the cheese off of dishes and had gluten-free pasta, but anything that is naturally made with dairy in it, like the meatballs, cannot be modified.
Via Napoli will also make modifications and has some great items like grilled chicken salads and grilled fish that can be prepared without dairy. The meatballs here would also still have dairy in them naturally.
If you have a picky eater who needs dairy-free options, I would opt for one of the other EPCOT restaurants that will give them more options.
Garden Grill is a fabulous family-style character dining experience that does a great job with dietary issues.
Teppan Edo is also a great option for dairy-free dining in EPCOT. It is a traditional Japanese restaurant where they cook the meal on a flat top in front of you. Most of the menu is naturally dairy-free, and they are good about modifying where it is needed. I also love
Regal Eagle Smokehouse for any and all dietary requests. This is a quick-service location, but they have so many simple and delicious options that can be modified for all diets.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
