Lindsey,
Thanks for the follow-up and the explanation!
Yes,
Be Our Guest is a very unique place, one that can confuse with the switch from Quick to Table Service. Here is the basic info;
Most every restaurant at Walt Disney World is either table service for all meals, or quick service for all meals. Almost none do the switch that Be Our Guest does, moving from being a quick service restaurant for lunch, to a table service restaurant for dinner. Really, I kind of assume this is Disney testing a new kind of model.
So you found the exception to the rule! But a few other unique situations you should be aware of;
- Beaches and Cream, at the Beach Club resort is unique, offering some great soda fountain treats in a very counter service style, but it is also a place with full meal table service.
- Some places, like Bongos (at Downtown Disney) is both a table service restaurant with a counter window with a quick service menu.
- The Kona Cafe (Polynesian) also has a sushi counter.
- There are some restaurants that remain table service throughout the day, but serve family style at one meal, then a la carte at another.
- The only other think to note of that runs kind of along these lines is that there are many restaurants that are only open for breakfast and dinner, but not lunch.
If you are unsure of any others, please let me know. I am glad to assist.
Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
