Hi Tina!
That is a fantastic question! Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel for a chat about Disney Vacation Club Resorts, one of my favorite topics.
Disney Vacation Club Resorts belong in Disney's vacation ownership program, Disney Vacation Club, that allows Members and Guests to enjoy up to 50-years of unforgettable "Vacations you never outgrow." You can find a listing of these remarkable Resort hotels on the Disney Vacation Club Member Website, or also in the Deluxe Villas
booking category on the Walt Disney World Resort website.
Most commonly, Members use Points to reserve resort accommodations at a Disney Vacation Club Resort. Guests who purchased their Membership directly from Disney Vacation Club or before March 21, 2011, can also use Points to make a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation, such as Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, through
The Disney Collection exchange. Call Member Services at 800-800-9800 to verify your eligibility for this program and to make your reservation.
As a Disney Vacation Club Member with an active Member ID, you can enjoy all of the benefits of your Membership whenever you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort. Remember to present it for discounts on experiences, dining, and shopping! Also, Top of the World Lounge is available to any Disney Vacation Club Member staying at Walt Disney World Resort, even if paying cash for a Resort hotel reservation rather than points.
I hope this helps!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Sally
