    Hi! 1) On the MDE site it says MK park hours on 12/19/14 are 9-7 and 7-10. What does this mean? Does the park shut down and reopen? 2) MDE site won't allow me to add the Welcome Show to my plans on 12/20/14. Does this mean no Welcome Show that day?

    Hi Joy!

    Thank you for stopping by the Moms Panel with another question. The two sets of park hours for the Magic Kingdom on December 19 are due to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. At 7:00 p.m. the park will close for all Guests not attending that evening's party. The party is from 7:00-10:00 p.m. that night and only Guests with a valid special event ticket will be permitted to enjoy the select attractions that are open, character greeting opportunities throughout the park, and complimentary cookies and hot cocoa.

    The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show usually begins twenty minutes before the park opens each day. I would suggest continuing to check WaltDisneyWorld.com for more hours as your travel dates get closer. If you would like a reminder about the Welcome Show, you can also select "Add to Wish List" on My Disney Experience. This is designated by the heart icon next to any attraction or entertainment option when you are logged on.
