May my 11year old granddaughter go to both Oceaneer Club & Edge during our cruise? May my 14 year old grandson go to both Edge & Vibe during our cruise?

    Welcome aboard, Nora!

The Youth Clubs aboard all four of Disney Cruise Line's pixie-dusted ships are surely something to write home about! My kids cannot get enough of their time with the amazing counselors and new friends in the clubs every time we sail. I can't wait for your grandkids to experience this too!

Since the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are for kids ages three to 12, and Edge is for tweens ages 11 - 14, your 11 year-old granddaughter is one of the fortunate ones that gets to go to all three of those clubs! When my daughter was in that age range, she loved this privilege, because she peeked at the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App each day to find out the schedule of events in each club. She'd then choose which ones were "must-do's" for her, and could go between the clubs based on the events she wanted to attend. I did give permission for self check-out privileges at the Club and Lab for her, otherwise she wouldn't have been allowed to leave those two clubs on her own without calling me down to check her out. So, keep that in mind if you'd like your granddaughter to be able to come and go on her own. At Edge, the tweens do not need to be checked in or out by parents, so they can easily come and go.

Your grandson, at age 14, is also fortunate in that Edge is for ages 11 - 14 and he can also participate in the Teen Club, Vibe, for ages 14- 17. He, too, can use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to choose which events sound the best for him and arrive at the club that is hosting those. I also love that I can keep in touch through the free texting feature built into the app. Guests can text onboard through the app, even using fun Disney Cruise Line emoji, with other guests in their party throughout the sailing. Since my tween and teen can come and go without parental check-outs in the clubs now, I set a rule that they must text me when they leave, letting me know where and with whom they're going somewhere else. That way, I always know where to find them, but they have the freedom to enjoy their activities too.

Your whole group is in for an amazing cruise, Nora! There is truly something for everyone when you sail with Disney! Have such fun!
