Have May '12 visit booked @ GF. Have never stayed there before. Now 2nd quessing our choice.Traveling with husband, 2yr old DD, 8yr old DS, and my parents 63 & 64. Will be my parents 1st visit & I really want to show them true Disney Magic! Opinion?

    Hello fellow Kentuckian!

Don't second guess your choice - the Grand Floridian is a lovely resort! In fact, I look forward to staying there again myself in just 42 more days...but who's counting? I have three daughters, 4, 6, and 8 years of age, and this is their favorite Disney resort.

Full disclosure - I admit that I was nervous about staying there before our first visit, also. It seemed so formal and I was afraid my young daughter might run too fast, talk too loud, or otherwise disrupt the elegant surroundings. I was very pleased to discover that this resort is not at all stuffy! There are plenty of young children everywhere you turn, and no one batted an eye when my little one ran and squealed with delight. You've also got lots of wonderful dining options at this resort, and, of course, the convenience of the monorail. I think you will be very happy!

    Have a wonderful vacation!
