This may be a silly question but...we are attending MNSSHP this fall and our family will be dressing up as characters from Up. I know there are costume restrictions for weapons and masks and such. What about a cane for Mr Fredrickson? Is that allowed?

Hello there, Courtney! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to reach back out and allowing us to help you plan another amazing vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

Autumn at Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner and I am incredibly excited for all of the offering available in 2019! As a lover of all things Halloween, this time of the year is possibly my favorite!

For those that enjoy spooky (or not-so-spooky) events, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a must-do! This special event transforms the Magic Kingdom into a fantastic fall festival featuring all of your favorite Disney Characters! Guests can look forward to party-exclusive merchandise, sweet eats, the classic Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, and the all-new Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular fireworks display.

Of course, what fall festival would be complete without trick-or-treating? Guests are encouraged to dress-up in their Halloween bests with a few restrictions. However, according to the Costume Guidelines, there should be no restrictions on canes though you may be subject to additional security screenings when entering the park. So, you and your family should be perfectly fine dressing up as your favorite characters from Pixar's Up!

I hope this information will assist you as you continue to plan for your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort and, remember, Adventure is Out There!
