this may seem like a silly question but if i used one of the dining packages would we still need to tip the servers. I wouldnt want to carry alot of cash around while in the parks but being a server myself i also wouldnt want to not tip if necessary.

    Ann,

I know the gratuity policy is a bit confusing with the Dining Plan, but let me try to explain...

As of the beginning of 2008, the Disney Dining Plan no longer includes gratuity (except for a few exception - see below for details*).  Unless you have a party of 6 or more, the gratuity won't be automatically included in the total on your bill. If you are a party of less than 6 people, the bottom of the bill will, however, include a helpful calculation of how much a 18% and a 20% tip would be. The gratuity will be calculated based on the menu price of the food and drinks ordered.

    Hope that helps!     ºoº

*Gratuities are included in the Dining Plan if you dine at Cinderella's Royal Table, Dinner Shows (Hoop Dee Doo, Spirit of Aloha, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ), or use it for in-room dining, or a grand gathering event.
