Tiffany,
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney!
Disney does not send out park information or planning DVDs via the mail any longer, but what they do offer is a wide array of online tools to help with the planning process. My favorite is planDisney, to be sure!
Seriously though, I find the
My Disney Experience program really serves as your 'home base' for your planning. As you discover what you want to do, you can start logging it all in there. Of course when you are finally immersed in the magic at the Walt Disney World resort, the
My Disney Experience App puts all that information and planning at your fingertips.
But you are looking for more help, I bet. First, the
Vacation Planning page is a great place to start. It really captures the core planning topics that most of us find challenging. Next, I am someone who likes to have the printed park maps all spread out in front of me when I am helping someone plan their days. While the
interactive resort map on the website is fantastic for getting a feel for where everything can be found, I also print out the individual park maps. You can find them for the
Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT,
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park by clicking on the guide map link at the bottom of their respective web pages.
I would suggest you start with these first steps, and then when you have more questions, come back to planDisney and let us help you with more of your planning. We love to help with advice on how to pick your resort hotel, dining suggestions, and other planning strategies that can help make the trip even more magical.
Have a Magical Vacation!
Doug
