Hi, may I know whether there will be more dates released for marathons in Disneyland for 2025? So far, it's only the one in Jan and only in Florida? I would like to do one in California. Thanks!

Hi Tien! Thanks for sprinting over to planDisney with your runDisney question.

How exciting that you would like to run a marathon in California! There are two great Disneyland Race weekends currently on the runDisney calendar. Sadly, neither has a full marathon distance race. The Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend has races at the 5K, 10K, and half marathon distances. While the Disneyland Half Marathon in January 2025 typically has the same race distances, the registration dates and information for that event have yet to be released.  Disneyland has not hosted a full marathon in quite some time - nearly three decades if my research is correct. Tien, I know that might be disappointing, and I'm sorry!

I know it is not quite the same as running a full marathon, but often the runDisney events include a race challenge, such as the Dumbo Double Dare at Disneyland Resort, and the Goofy and Dopey Challenges at Walt Disney World. This usually includes running between two and four races throughout the event weekend. Can you imagine running a half marathon on a Saturday and a full marathon the very next day? My planDisney pal Jana will be doing just that next January at the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! It is a different approach to running, and it might be worth looking into if you're up for a challenge and don't mind flying to Florida instead of California.

I hope this answers your question, Tien. Please visit us again soon. We're happy to help!
