Jayme, thanks for sending us a message from somewhere beyond!
I am so excited to hear that you are set to run the
Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend 10K. I will also be running the Halloween 10K this year and think the race's
Haunted Mansion theme is simply to die for! This event is going to be extra special for you since you're also supporting a good cause by fundraising for charity!
I have great news, Jayme,
runDisney events are welcoming to foolish mortals whether they register through a charity or
runDisney directly. This means that runners participating through a charity enjoy the same event experience from the Event Expo to the finish line and beyond. This includes the race shirt, finisher medal, iconic post-race snack box, and an official race time! Make sure to wear your race medal with pride after the race. My favorite way to celebrate finishing a
runDisney race is to make a
park reservation and take
Disney PhotoPass pictures throughout the theme parks!
If you are up for a taste of
runDisney before September, be sure to check out the upcoming
runDisney Virtual Series inspired by some much-beloved Disney Snacks. My
planDisney pal Betsy loves the self-paced nature of these events and thinks they are great to do with family and friends! Registration for this virtual series opens next week and is sure to go like hotcakes! Like the snacks the Virtual Series is inspired by, these races will be hard to resist.
Jayme, I recommend following both the
runDisney Instagram and the official
runDisney Facebook page because as the race weekend gets closer they often reveal the finisher medals and have important information and event announcements! For more information on runDisney events check out the latest
planDisney podcast, which was just released!
I hope this information helps, Jayme. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to
hurry back and ask me directly.
See you on the race course,
Melissa
