Welcome aboard, Debra! That particular sailing is one of the best options for setting sail from a port other than Port Canaveral, as it allows guests to enjoy even more Disney magic with an entire day in the parks at the Walt Disney World resort. Add that to your other wonderful port stops, and you've got one very special itinerary!
Typically, guests can being going ashore around 6:15 a.m. and must be back on the ship by 11:45 p.m., though these times are always subject to change. As a Disney Cruise Line guest, you can take advantage of the parks' extra magic hours, so be sure to have a look at which parks offer this on your day ashore.
Complimentary motorcoaches will be waiting for guests when the ship docks at Port Canaveral. These will take you to one of the Disney parks where you can begin your day. More specific details about timing and motorcoaches will be provided to you onboard the ship before you reach Port Canaveral, but it is a good idea to have in mind where you'd like to start your day.
I'd also recommend making a couple advanced dining reservations in the parks now. Reservations at the restaurants there do fill up quickly, so having a set plan will make your park visit much nicer, and save you time, allowing you to visit more attractions that day. Perhaps a quick service spot for lunch with no reservations, but a special character meal for dinner? Check out the
Walt Disney World Resort webpage to reserve a dining time.
With only just over a month until you set sail, you might have some other questions, Debra. I'm always happy to help, so don't hesitate to ask!
