Ka-chow, Kenneth.
I'm so glad you followed Lightning McQueen from Radiator Springs and cruised your way into planDisney! I'm sorry to hear you may not be able to proceed with your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation as planned. I imagine the excitement you were feeling as your countdown got lower and lower has transformed into sadness. I wish I could send Baymax your way to cheer you up with a giant hug or fist bump.
Kenneth, the current
Cancellation Policy states that cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the arrival date will receive a full refund for all amounts paid. Depending on the package you booked, however, you may be subject to any applicable cancellation fees (if you booked at a third-party hotel, for example). Cancellations made 29 days to 2 days prior to the scheduled arrival will incur a $200 penalty per package booked. The full price of the package booked is nonrefundable for cancellations made the day before or day of your arrival. If you must cancel your trip, I recommend you do so sooner than later to receive any applicable refunds.
To cancel your reservation, you can either call (407) 939-1936 and speak with a helpful Cast Member or cancel online through your
My Disney Experience account. To cancel online, go to your "My Plans" page and scroll down until you see your Resort reservation. You should see the words "Cancel Reservation” under the confirmation number. Click "Cancel Reservation" and walk through the remaining steps to complete the cancellation process.
Kenneth, there is so much to look forward to at The Most Magical Place on Earth during
The World's Most Magical Celebration. Plus, an exciting new attraction,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, opens this summer at
EPCOT! I hope you are able to make your trip after all, so you can experience all of the EARidescent excitement for yourself. Perhaps you can call and reschedule your trip rather than cancel it altogether? No matter what you decide, know
planDisney will be here waiting to help in any way we can.
Take care,
Alyssa
