Welcome aboard, Shelly! Hooray for a January sailing with Disney Cruise Line! My family and I have sailed with Captain Mickey and his crew a few times in January, and they've been some of our favorite sailings. We love escaping from the cold weather in Ohio to head to the warm waters of the Bahamas and Caribbean! I do hope you book this cruise!
You'll be happy to know that the ships do broadcast big games, especially the Super Bowl, at sea for guests, pending satellite reception at their location. Big games are shown on the larger-than-life
FunnelVision screen above the Donald or Goofy pools up on deck. It's a great place to relax anytime and catch a Disney movie, but when the Super Bowl is playing, you'll see fans from all over gathered to cheer on their favorite team! The games are also shown in the sports bar onboard, either Crown & Fin on the Wonder, O' Gills Pub on the Magic and Fantasy, or Pub 687 on the Dream. Of course, your
stateroom television offers ESPN and other popular channels too, but it's so much more fun to party with hundreds of your closest friends up on deck or in the bar for the game! I'd just suggest that you arrive early to grab a spot, as everyone else at the bar or FunnelVision will have the same idea, and there is usually a pre-game tailgate type party first! I know that Disney has offered some tasty snacks throughout the game too, because what's a Super Bowl party without food? Check your Personal Navigator onboard that day to get details on everything that will be offered so you don't miss a thing!
Have fun planning this exciting and magical adventure at sea, Shelly!
Stop back if we can help with anything else before you set sail!
