What is the maximum size of bags acceptable on Disney cruise ? Is there are specific size or brand for kids stroller?

    Hello Khalifa,

Welcome aboard planDisney! I’m so glad you sailed by with your question. How exciting that you and your family are embarking on a Disney Cruise Line holiday soon! I’m sure you are counting down the minutes.

You will be happy to know that each guest may board with a reasonable amount of clothing and personal effects, not to exceed two checked bags per person. While there is no size requirement on your checked baggage, for your one carry-on bag it must measure no greater than 14 inches wide, 9 inches deep and 22 inches in height in order to fit in the security scanning at the port. You are also welcome to bring a personal bag, such as a pocketbook or purse.

One word of advice though, you will be required to store your luggage in your stateroom, and while the Disney Cruise Line staterooms are larger than most, there isn’t a lot of room to maneuver around large pieces of luggage. I recommend that you pack suitcases that can be stored under the bed, which is designed for even larger suitcases to slide under. It helps to keep your room in shipshape!

I also recommend that you place anything you may need as soon as you board the ship in your carry-on bag. I always include the basics like sunscreen and a water bottle, but also remember to pack any medications, valuables, and your cruise documents and identification in your carry-on bag.

Khalifa, there are no specific brands or sizes of strollers that are recommended by Disney Cruise Line, just remember that you will need to store the stroller in your stateroom when it is not in use, and the hallways and elevators on the ships are narrow and the space to park a stroller at the dining venues and the pool decks is rather limited so keep that in mind, so a collapsible stroller is recommended. There are complimentary strollers available on each of the ships. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so I recommend you head to Guests Services when you board and inquire about one if you decide not to bring your own. If you need to reserve a crib or make other special arrangements for your little one, sign in to My Reservations, select Special Requests, and fill out our Special Requests form.
