Ahoy, Victoria! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question. It looks like you’re just days away from your
Very Merrytime Cruise... how exciting!
I completely understand trying to make the sleeping arrangements work so everyone gets a good night’s rest. Now that my “kids” are grown, we’ve finally graduated to booking two
staterooms… but it wasn’t long ago that I had all three teenage boys plus my husband in one room. Let’s just say it was cozy! Thankfully, I always sleep so well onboard and there’s something about the gentle rocking of the ship that works better than any lullaby.
When it comes to removing the mattress from the pull-down bed, your best bet is to chat with your Stateroom Host or Hostess. They are fantastic at making spaces comfortable, and they’ll know exactly what is and isn’t allowed based on safety guidelines. They usually stop by on embarkation day to introduce themselves, so that’s the perfect time to explain your concern. If removing the mattress is permitted, they’ll handle it for you. And if it isn’t, they’ll be more than happy to help brainstorm an alternative that keeps everyone comfy.
And since we’re talking sleep… if you have room in your suitcase, consider bringing matching holiday pajamas for your crew. One evening after dinner, head down to the atrium in your festive PJs and get a photo in front of that gorgeous Christmas tree!
Wishing you peaceful nights and magical days, Victoria!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
