Can I mask /hide the room charges at my Disney resort? I wanted it to be a surprise.

Hiya, Sue, and thanks for stopping by planDisney! You are arriving at Walt Disney World Resort any minute, so welcome home. I love surprises! Let's look at some ways you can be sneaky during your stay.

Since you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can charge food and merchandise using your MagicBand or Key to the World card. Anyone you're sharing plans with can tap "View Charges" in their app to see a list of purchases. When I've charged items this way, they appear on my Disney Resort Hotel folio by the location name only. So, your secret should be safe if the location doesn't give anything away.

But if you need a "higher level of security," I suggest using a different credit card or cash for any surprise purchases. Another option is to buy a Disney Gift Card onsite and charge that to your resort; then use the gift card to make the surprise purchase. Maybe I should apply for a job as a spy; these are pretty sneaky ideas!

As a Disney Resort Hotel guest, I hope you take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry. This allows you to enter any theme park 30 minutes before opening, and that's a fabulous way to enjoy a few experiences with low wait times. When I head to Magic Kingdom Park early, I go straight to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to start my day with my pal Dopey!

Sue, I hope your visit is as fun as it is covert! Good luck pulling off the surprise, and please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
