    Margaret, I was wondering how long it takes for them to make your shirt at the hanes shop downtown disney. We were wanting to do this the morning of departure. Now I'm wondering if this would give them enough time to get it done. Thanks luv the panel

    Hi Sandra,

    The Hanes Design a Tee store is so cool. You will have such a great time choosing from the hundreds of designs, phrases, characters and more.

    The length of time that it takes to prepare your personalized shirt depends on how busy the shop is during your visit. The shirt can be completed in as short as approximately an hour or as long as twenty four hours. During both of our recent "design trips" to the store I was given the option to pick up the shirt later that evening (about eight hours after we placed the order) or the next morning. We have opted to pick the shirt up the next day as we were headed to a park, and it was ready to go when we arrived early the next morning.

    You may want to consider designing your shirt earlier in your trip and then picking it up on your last morning or if you do depart on the day you visit Design a Tee you can arrange to have the shirt shipped home. The Cast Member that takes your order will be happy to help you with the appropriate paperwork to do that. Word of caution, be sure to allow ample time for your creative juices. There are so many great ideas to pick from that we have spent a good amount of time there choosing.
