Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    Margaret thanks for answering my question on the beach club. One more. Have friends staying at Shades of Green. Can they be our guest at the Beach Club's storm bay pool? Also, we have a std room booked. Any suggestions for best location for std. room?

    Hi Lesa,

    Great to hear from you again! How fun that you will have friends at Disney World at the same time. Unfortunately they will not be able to join you at Stormalong Bay. Disney World does not offer pool hopping unless you are a member of the Vacation Club and even DVC members can not hop to the Beach/Yacht Club pool. It is such a great pool that it would be packed all the time if that was allowed. Guests at the Yacht and Beach Club are required to show their resort room card when entering the pool, where you will receive a wristband that needs to be worn to confirm that you are a guest there. Sorry that they will not be able to join you in the pool, however you could hit one of the waterparks if you are looking for some water fun as a group.

    Regarding room location for the Beach Club, we spend most of our Beach Club stays in the villas as we are DVC members and our larger family size often needs the bigger space that the villas offer. If the view is not a concern of yours, we actually like to stay in the rooms that are closest to Epcot. This location is quite far from Stormalong Bay and the resort lobby, but we love being able to walk out our room and we are almost at Epcot. The view overlooks a large wooded area so you will not see much but the proximity to Epcot  and the bridge to the Boardwalk is a huge plus to us.
