    Would Mardi Gras, Easter, or early June be the least of all evils for a family traveling in 2015 and limited to school holidays? I was planning on Mardi Gras, but it coincides with Presidents Day. This will be our first and only Disney trip.

    Hi Tracy,

    I like that you were thinking Mardi Gras as this would be a good time. However, if it is over Presidents' Day, you should skip this week. Schools in certain areas give off the entire week and the Walt Disney World Resorts is a popular place to spend that week.

    I would go with the beginning of June. You will not see it as crowded as July/August. If you have a Star Wars fan, you might be able to enjoy Star Wars Weekend in Disney's Hollywood Studios. 

    My second choice would be Easter. You would see it crowded over Easter weekend. However, the crowds will thin as you enter the next week. The weather is not as humid as June.
