Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Linda!
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful resort, and this is a wonderful place to take a respite from the parks. You'll feel like you're in the midst of a National Park instead of a theme park when you see the Fire Rock Geyser shooting a plume of water 120 feet in the air every hour on the hour!
I spent a lot of quality time in the
Wilderness Lodge pools during my trip last summer, and in particular, I enjoyed the more laid back vibe of the Boulder Ridge Cove Pool. I reached out to the resort's Recreation Department today, and they confirmed that both the Boulder Ridge and the Copper Creek Springs Pools are treated with chlorine. I was also told that
Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and
The Big Blue Pool over at Disney's Art of Animation Resort use a saltwater filtration system. Since pool hoping is typically not allowed at Walt Disney World Resorts, I suggest checking with your resort's front desk to check if exceptions can be made due to the kids' allergies.
As an alternative to swimming, consider
renting Sea Raycers for your Mousketeers from the Wilderness Lodge's marina. My kiddos thoroughly enjoyed this activity, and it gave us a unique perspective of the Seven Seas Lagoon!
I hope your trip goes swimmingly well, Linda! See ya' real soon!
