Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    In March we will be staying at the Coronado Resort. In Sept my right knee went out at the airport. I expect to walk a lot, but if I have problems I don't want a long walk from the bus to my room. Any recommendations on resort location?

    Hi Mary! 

    Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is my favorite resort at Walt Disney World! You are going to love it!

    The resort is very large and spread out though, which can mean a lot of walking. 

    The resort is divided into three main sections, the Casitas, the Ranchos and the Cabanas, all of which surround the beautiful lake. The Ranchos are furthest away from the main area, with the shops and restaraunts, but they are closer to the main pool.

    The Casitas are located to the left of the El Centro (lobby area.) The closest building is building 1 and the furthest away is building 5. The Cabanas are located to the right of El Centro and offer beautiful views of the lake.

    You will be happy to hear that there are several bus stops throughout the resort, so you sohuld have easy access to the bus transportaion no matter what section you stay in. Additionally, cast members are happy to provide transportaion throughout the resort via golf cart. Just call guest services to make the request.

    When you make your reservation, make sure to ask for a room on the ground level (if you have trouble walking up stairs) and ask for a room close to El Centro and transportation. Call again a few days before you reservation to make sure this is noted. While WDW can't guarntee a specific room or section, they will do their best to accomodate your needs.
