Hey there, John! Thanks for stopping by planDisney
Happy almost birthday! Did you know you share a birthday with a Disney Legend and a popular Disneyland attraction? It’s true! Kurt Russell (star of The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, Miracle, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to name a few films) was born on March 17th and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters opened at Disneyland on March 17th, 2005. What prestigious company!
While I haven’t had the opportunity to attend yet,
Disney After Hours looks like such a fun event. Who wouldn’t enjoy EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios lit up at night with smaller crowds and shorter lines? It sounds magical. As you noted in your question, Disney After Hours is a special ticketed event, and tickets can be
purchased online or in the My Disney Experience mobile app
I took a look at the ticket calendar and it appears that there is an After Hours event on March 17th at the Magic Kingdom, but unfortunately it is sold out at this time. It doesn’t hurt to keep checking to see if more tickets become available, though. You can check availability on the My Disney Experience mobile app, the Walt Disney World website, or inquire with a Cast Member at the box office at the front of any Walt Disney World theme park. The good news is that the Magic Kingdom will be open to all guests until 10 P.M. on March 17th, 2025 (
hours subject to change), so you will still get an opportunity to enjoy the park in all its nighttime splendor.
John, I hope you have a fun-filled birthday and enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World. Don’t hesitate to come right back if you have any other questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Magical travels!
Matt
