Roger,
Thanks for your question to planDisney!
Disney doesn't send out printed park or resort maps, unfortunately. But they do have a great interactive map on their website that will let you explore the parks, the resorts, and everything else across the Walt Disney World Resort. To get to the map all you need to do is go to one of the park web pages, like the one for the
Magic Kingdom Park, and you will see the interactive map near the bottom of the page.
The interactive map lets you zoom in on different areas, as well as filter to your particular category of interest, like dining options, attractions, and resort services. The filtering feature makes the maps a bit more readable than the old print versions that could get hard to read with so many items marked across them.
This map is also available via the
My Disney Experience App on your smartphone. While it is great to view at home, it becomes even more valuable when you are in the parks. You can find nearby restaurants and, in many cases, place a mobile order for a quick pick up.
While you cannot get printed maps mailed to you by Disney, there are several ways to get versions of the printed park and resort maps. First, at the bottom of those theme park pages you will see a link to the PDF of the park Guide Maps. As for resort, there are a number of unofficial fan sites, like All Ears, that post PDFs of the resort maps. You can view and print these out for your planning needs.
BONUS TIPWhen you are actually at a Disney theme park they have printed versions that you can pick up for your time in the park. But I always grab 1 or 2 extra ones on my way out of the park to take home with me after my vacation so that I have the official ones ready to go when I start planning my next trip to the magic!
Write me back if you have any follow-up questions!
Have a Magical Vacation!
