Maps of the parks or flyers?

    Hello Irene, welcome to planDisney!

As someone who has been coming to the Walt Disney World Resort since the mid-90s, I feel as if I know the Theme Parks and Disney Resorts Collection hotels like the back of my hand. There was a time, too, when you could request a Disney vacation planning DVD so you could gather around the TV in your living room with your family to plan your vacation...those were the good old days! Unfortunately, the days of planning DVDs and receiving planning materials in the mail are gone, but Hakuna Matata (it means no worries), there is plenty of great information available to you a few clicks away.

To locate Theme Park maps, you will begin your journey on the leading Disney World site. From there, hover over the Tickets & Parks tab in the top blue bar and select the park you’d like to explore digitally. Say, for instance, you chose Magic Kingdom. Click the park map icon directly under the main photo or automatic video. Here, you can see an overview of the park and hotels nearby and zoom in on specific attractions, dining options, and shopping locations. If you want something in your hand, click on the Guide Map download button directly under the map, and a printable PDF will open in a new window of the park Guide Map (Magic Kingdom in this example). This is similar to the physical map you can pick up at the entrance to each park!

Irene, since you found planDisney, I’d also like to point out that not only can you submit questions like this one for us to answer, but you can also utilize our planDisney Video Library for quick and fun videos of our top tips. One of my favorite tools for Guests are the planDisney Resort Guides, where you can learn about the different hotels that make up the Disney Resorts Collection. My planDisney friends Amy C. and Matthew N. just recently made a resort guide of Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and it has me antsy to book another trip, stat!

If you need more information or planning help, head to the Vacation Planning page on the main Disney website. You can also stay current by following the Disney Parks Blog and the Disney Parks YouTube channel. If you still have some additional questions, come back to planDisney to ask my fellow panelists and me more questions. I would love to help you choose the perfect resort, give dining recommendations, and explain the ins and outs of Disney Genie+.

    TTFN,
    Brent
