Well, hello, Joseph! I’m so glad you found us in our little corner of the internet. We love helping Guests make the most of their next
Disney vacation!
I’m typically the planner for my group, so your question hits close to home. I lovingly call my husband a “passenger princess” because he mostly shows up and goes with the flow. You can often hear him asking questions like, “What park are we going to this morning?” “What do I like to eat at this park?” or “Do we
have to go on
Test Track?” Which leads me to once again remind him that he actually enjoys
Test Track. It’s the
Tomorrowland Speedway he’s not a big fan of. You get the picture. If I didn’t manage his plans, he’d probably be parked on a bench in Fantasyland, clutching a Mickey
pretzel, staring into the distance, and softly whispering, “But…what
bus do we take to get back to our resort?” Which, of course, leads us to an even bigger question: how did he manage to find sustenance in the first place? These are the great mysteries of the world, my friend. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess.
If you’d like to manage someone else’s plans, you’ll first need to make sure you’re connected through your
My Family & Friends List by clicking the "Add a Guest" button and following the prompts. Once the other person has accepted the connection, both of you should go to your list, click the “Edit Settings” button next to each other’s names, and toggle on the option to “Allow [insert Guest’s name here] to view and modify all of your plans.” After that, when you’re using the
My Disney Experience mobile app, you’ll be able to select them when making
advanced dining reservations and booking
Lightning Lane Passes.
Of course, this feature can always be toggled off after your trip if you no longer want them to see your plans. I always keep it on, though, because it brings my friends and me joy to see each other’s plans, even when we’re not included. We especially love being able to view each other’s
Disney PhotoPass photos, which you can toggle on or off in the My Family & Friends settings as well. Even if we’re not physically there, we can still follow along with their adventures, one photo at a time.
Joseph, being the planner of the group can be a big responsibility, but the fact that you’re asking this question before your trip even begins tells me you’ve absolutely got this. If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out again!
Your resident passenger-princess wrangler,
Matt
