    I am making a trip to Disney World with my 7yr old next month. I know Magic Bands can be used to make purchases, but I want to know if my daughter will be able to use her band and make her own purchases as well. Is this possible?

    Hi Olivia!

    Your trip is coming up really quickly.  Are you getting too excited to sleep already?  I know I always bounce around my house like Tigger with pre-trip excitement when a vacation is in the near future.

    Olivia, if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel you will be able to set up a spending limit on your little ones MagicBand.   Once she reaches her limit, she will not be able to use the MagicBand for further purchases.   On my last family vacation we did this for my 8 year-old daughter.  We gave her a fifty dollar spending limit for souvenirs and she picked how to spend her money during the week.   It was a great way for her to learn to manage money, and she felt really grown-up tapping her MagicBand to pay for purchases. 
    When you check into your Resort hotel a Cast Member can gladly set this up for your family.
