Making plans for December 2026. What are the typical time slots for the Holiday Sleigh Rides?

Happy holidays in advance, Margo, and welcome to planDisney! The post-season blues won't bother you since you're already in 2026 holiday mode. I love it! And you're among seasoned planners here at the panel, so let's talk about some lovely weather for a sleigh ride together.

The Holiday Sleigh Rides are typically available in December at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Last year, details about this experience dropped in early October, so my tip is to watch the Disney Parks Blog for announcements in early fall.

Based on the jingle-jangle of past years, the 25-minute rides were offered a couple of times on select evenings. For example, this horse-drawn experience was available at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in years past, but the schedule is subject to change for 2026.

Guests can typically book this and other Enchanting Extras 60 days before arrival, and you do not have to be a guest of Fort Wilderness to enjoy this experience. I booked a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride last summer and selected "one" for the number of carriage rides, regardless of the number of guests. The carriages usually hold up to four adults, or a specific number of adults and children, but the price includes everyone. Giddy up, giddy up, giddy up, let's go!

Margo, let the holiday 2026 countdown begin! Please feel free to stop by planDisney if you have any other questions. I'll just be over here all comfy-cozy calling yoo-hoo...

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
