Hello Britney!
It looks like your trip is just around the corner! The
Disney Park Pass System was put into place to limit the number of Guests in the theme parks each day to safer levels. With more of us feeling safe to travel, the parks are becoming more popular and Park Pass Reservations are filling up a few weeks to even two months in advance. I am sorry you haven’t been able to secure a reservation for Magic Kingdom, but never fear, I do have a few ideas for you!
First, it is possible that more Disney Park Pass Reservations
may be released if they aren’t reserved by Annual Passholders, or that other Guests may cancel. In my experience, luck favors those who look early and often. I have often been rewarded by stalking the website. I would check the
Theme Park Availability Calendar daily, especially in the morning, and even multiple times daily if you are able. Other Guests sometimes change their plans at the last minute, and so even the night before or morning that you want to visit, you may see availability open up.
The other option is to upgrade your theme park ticket to a
Park Hopper Ticket. With a Park Hopper Ticket, you would make a Park Pass Reservation for another park to visit in the morning. You must visit this park first, but then after 2 PM, you could “hop” to another theme park such as Magic Kingdom. While the hopping is
subject to availability, to date, hopping has not been an issue for Guests, even during the busy spring break season a few weeks ago. While this would be an upgrade in cost, it would most likely allow you an opportunity to visit the Magic Kingdom. Most ticket types can be upgraded over the phone in advance by
calling ticketing, and other eligible tickets can be upgraded at a ticket window outside the theme parks or Disney Springs.
I hope one of these ideas work for your upcoming visit, Britney. Sending you pixie dust for a magical reservation!
