    Hi - I will be making my first trip to Castaway Cay. I saw a comment in a book about a Power Walk option on CC as an alternative to the 5k, but cannot find any specifics. Is this an available option? If so, how does that go? Thanks!

    Welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Leslie!

    I am thrilled to hear that you will be making your very FIRST trip to my favorite island oasis, Castaway Cay!  Where else do you get all of the magic of a Disney vacation on the beautiful white sand beaches of the Bahamas? I hope you enjoy this slice of heaven as much as I do!

    The Castaway Cay 5K is a very popular way for guests to start there day on Disney's private island.  Just like all things on the island, this event is relaxed!  If you prefer to walk or power walk instead of running, you are more than welcome to do so.  

    On select sailings, you can now sign up for the 5K on your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or simply sign up at the Guest Services Desk once you are onboard the ship.  Then, on the morning of the race, you will meet at a designated location and be among the first guests off the ship to head to the starting line together!  Once you cross the finish line and collect your medal, find a hammock and relax on the gorgeous beach.  You earned it!
