I am making a dry run under my account to buy the keyholder pass on Wednesday when available. I don't want to be frustrated so need to know best way to at least get into the queue.

    Hi ya, David!

Welcome to planDisney! I am sending you a virtual "high five" for your proactive planning spirit. One of my favorite quotes is from Edna Mode in The Incredibles when she says "Luck favors the prepared!" With me as your sidekick, you will be as prepared as you can be. Let's get training, shall we? Grab your super suit!

Magic Key passes will be available for sale starting January 10th, 2024, no earlier than 9:00 AM Pacific Time. But you can bet that the website will be super busy so I suggest you check out the Magic Key Buying Guide as your secret weapon. To help power up your super shopping powers, here are some notes from the guide:

    • Make sure you've created a Disney account with your current address, phone number, email, and preferred payment method. You can edit all of those details in your Disney profile.
    • Have first and last name, date of birth, and address handy for everyone you want to purchase Magic Key passes for. Guests over 18 will also need a phone number and email address.
    • Check out the Magic Key Park Reservation Availability Calendar and the details for each Magic Key type so you know which passes you want to purchase.
    • Go to the Magic Key webpage and click on the "Purchase Magic Key Passes" button on Wednesday morning no earlier than 8:45 AM Pacific Time.
    • Keep that browser tab open (don't open multiple tabs if you can help it) and think happy thoughts!
I prefer to enter the queue on my laptop so that I can easily enter the guest information and finish my purchase. Stick close to your computer because sometimes the queue moves quickly and you don't want to miss your chance!

David, my last tip is to tap into your superhero-level patience. Sometimes technology can be on the villainous side, but I'm optimistic that we will come out on top! Get your account updated, set an alarm, and I hope you'll have an incredible year enjoying the parks.

    Keep moving forward!
